Shirley’s show success raises 2,511 for mini-bus appeal
A SIDMOUTH cancer support group is quids in after raising a spectacular 2,511 at its recent two-night Variety Show.
Shirley Ratcliffe, with help from hubby Colin, are members of Sidmouth Living With Cancer and certainly did their bit to help raise more than 35,000 for its Campaign 2010 mini-bus appeal.
She staged the show, using local talent, and is so delighted by its success she is raring to put on a completely different fundraiser at the Manor Pavilion Theatre next year and wants to hear from anyone able to recommend acts on (01395) 577221.
Shirley is one of the SLWC members pictured with theatre manager Graham Whitlock, counting the takings this week.
