Sidmouth shop windows will be a wonder to behold when owners go all out to win the town’s annual best dressed window competition.
Business owners are being asked to get creative to be in with a chance of winning the contest, being run by Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce (CoC) and the Herald.
There are no application forms as judges will be touring the town to choose favourites next Wednesday afternoon (December 5). So anyone wanting to take part has until then. Points will be awarded for ‘seasonal’, ‘lighting’ and ‘trade’.
The judges will be Sidmouth College’s head girl and head boy, the Herald and Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce. There will be four best dressed prizes, with the criteria being slightly different from previous years - store, one window, two windows and three windows.
A Chamber spokesman said: “Christmas windows in Sidmouth are already being complimented as wonderfully seasonal by shoppers both in and out of town.”
