Teen litter pickers collect four bags of rubbish from beach

YOUNG volunteers took part in a beach litter-pick to help clean up Sidmouth after FolkWeek.

They collected four full bags of rubbish – and will use some items to make a collage to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Teens used equipment bought with funding from East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Katie Vickery, Chris Moor and Alfie Weaver are all part of The Arches’ Young Management Team and give up their time to run the seafront venue. Jack Mesher is soon to join them.

Alan Lewis is one of the youth workers who led the beach clean, on Saturday, August 11, along with Emily Hobson.
