A fresh lick of paint has given Sidmouth’s Youth Centre a new lease of life.

Youth work coordinator Ben Feasey said he was thrilled to reveal the newly finished artwork, which was done thanks to money raised from renting out the centre to clubs and organisations.

The children were asked what they would like on the outside of the building and the work was carried out by Sam Giles over a couple of days.

Ben said: “We wanted something that would be bright and vibrant.”

During the holidays the normal youth club will not be running; instead, the centre iwill be holding a program of summer workshops for young people.

Ben said he would like to encourage anyone who wanted to rent any space at the youth centre, as all the money raised went straight back into helping the town’s young people.
