SIDMOUTH'S Giovanni Youth Caf campaigner has been short-listed in the Innovation category of this year's CHANGEit awards.
Dan Gigg, the Sidmouth College student behind the project, was nominated for the award by his head of sixth form, Geoff Wake.
He will be interviewed for a video documentary about the youth caf next month and, if selected as one of eight finalists, will attend a full day training event at London's Deutsche Bank offices.
"I will go back to London to a Dragon's Den session in April before finding out if I am the winner," said Dan, who hopes the caf will be open later this year at the shelters at the western end of the promenade.
