A star zumba performer is proving age is no obstacle - after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Dorrie Pack has been a member of JM DanceFit’s Zumba Gold class in Sidmouth for three years and rarely misses the weekly classes.
The West Hill resident also loves to keep active by gardening and taking her dog, Frodo, for walks.
The great-grandmother-of-four, who turned 90 on May 2, said: “I just love it, when I come out I have so much energy. I look forward to it and the teacher is fantastic. I show my great-grandchildren how to do it.”
To celebrate her birthday, Dorrie’s dance friends presented her with a ‘star performer’ flower for her garden, a card and a bottle of champagne.
They also joined her for afternoon tea at the Belmont Hotel on Wednesday.
Dance teacher Johanna Morgan said: “Dorrie is a real asset to our Sidmouth Zumba Gold class. Her enthusiasm and determination has and continues to be a great inspiration to us all.
“She is always a real pleasure to teach and we’ve had lots of fun together on the dance floor at St Francis Church Hall over the past few years.
“I’m thrilled that Dorrie feels that the Thursday morning classes are of great benefit to her.
“The JM DanceFit members would like to wish our star performer Dorrie a very special happy 90th birthday.”
