The Rotary Club of Otter Valley has arranged two training awarness sessions this Thursday (June 22).

The Rotary Club of Otter Valley is encouraging businesses and residents to sign up for defibrillator training.

The club purchased life saving equipment which has been installed outside Ottery’s new library incase of an emergency.

It has arranged two training sessions on Thursday, June 22, for businesses, organisations and members of the public.

The first session will be held at 11am in the library for employees in the town’s shops, pubs and cafes.

Organisations and members of the public are invited to attend a second event the same day in the parish church at 7.45pm.

Rotarian Keith Spittlehouse said: “By these means we hope that the availability and simplicity of the equipment will become well known and that the Rotary Club will feel that by funding the defibrillator we will have helped to save a life.”
