THE owner of Sidmouth's famous Toastrack will appeal against a 70 parking fine slapped on the 97-year-old char-a-banc.
The Herald reported how the restored Austin named Betty was hit with the fine for being parked in an Esplanade coach bay last Wednesday.
Betty, a hit with tourists, had just "flown through" her MOT before springing a water leak, which forced Tom Griffiths to park her in the sea-front spot.
Mr Griffiths, who co-owns the Toastrack and is the grandson of its original owner Bill Dagworthy, said he plans to appeal against the penalty notice.
