Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens has been awarded the coveted Green Flag Award for the sixth year running
FOR the sixth year running, Sidmouth’s Connaught Gardens has won the coveted Green Flag Award.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) a flag-raising ceremony will take place at noon - coordinated with simultaneous ceremonies at every winning town across the country, including Manor Gardens, Exmouth, which has won the award for five consecutive years.
The Green Flag Award is organised by Keep Britain Tidy, and it is the work of East Devon District Council’s gardeners, helped by Britain in Bloom organisers and local schoolchildren, that have made Connaught Gardens one of the most successful public parks in the UK.
