Council owners of the Old Toll House in Salcombe Road want to carry out repairs and alterations to its roof and chimneys, replace rainwater goods and install a boiler flue.
East Devon District Council (EDDC) planning experts have recommended the authority’s development management committee approve a planning application.
EDDC owns the listed Grade II property and leases it to a single tenant for housing.
