A former pupil at The King’s School has dedicated his masters degree to his late dad.
Sol Telfer-Kenworthy’s father, Stuart, suffered a heart attack and sadly died a week before he graduated from Greenwich University two years ago. The 24-year-old has completed a masters course in marine engineering and this month graduated from Exeter University.
Sol said his father knew he had been accepted for the masters before his death. Stuart worked as an engineer, travelling around the world working on projects, and bonded with his son over car engines. Sol now works for a chemicals company in Southampton and works around the globe.
His proud mum Sue, who lives in Fairmile, said: “I just wish his dad was here to see it.”
