SOOTY the donkey and seven of his four-legged friends have been crowned 'Britain's Best Group of Beach Donkey of 2009' by Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary.
The national competition run by the charity recognises and rewards high standards of donkey care and welfare. The donkeys from Skegness will receive their official awards from the Donkey Sanctuary at a presentation ceremony today. Other categories in the national awards include 'Group with the Best Feet' and 'Britain's Best Donkey Resort', awarded to Scarborough.
