Oakdown Holiday Park has won the David Bellamy gold conservation award for the 12th year in a row.Owner Doreen Franks said: "We are one of only seven parks in the country to have had 12 and so we are obviously delighted that we are maintaining our standards and David Bellamy and the assessors all confirm this with the award."Cards are handed out to all guests, who assess the park during their stay, and an inspector carries out annual checks.David Bellamy Conservation Awards are given out each year to parks, which show an active concern for the environment. Everything from the protection of plant and animal habitats to the efficient use of energy and recycling are scrutinised during the inspection processes.
