SIDMOUTH shoppers have used green tokens to raise 400 towards buying a Rotary Shelter Box for use in a disaster area.
Through the Waitrose Community Matters scheme, currently being run at the Sidmouth store, they voted the charity as one of three local charities of the month.
Jon Pike,(right) department manger at the store, presented the cheque to Ray Davies, immediate past president of The Rotary Club of Sidmouth recently.
Rotary funds will be added to the sum to buy one Shelter Box which costs 490.
