Pictures: waves pound the seafront

Stormy weather created some spectacular conditions along Sidmouth seafront today (Monday) at high tide as huge waves crashed into the sea wall and the cliffs east of the river mouth. The force of the sea was sent up the river itself, washing past Alma Bridge and beyond.
