Pupils from Ottery St Mary Primary School were treated to a story-telling and workshop session with children’s author Rachel Bright when they visited Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary.
The event was held to showcase Rachel’s latest book, Walter and the No-Need-to-Worry Suit, which has been shortlisted for the Red House Children’s Book Award, which is voted for by youngsters. Rachel taught the children to draw Walter, a loveable donkey and the main character of the book. “I’ve done loads of events but this was possibly one of the most unusual venues,” said Rachel.
