Beer's 'stunning sheer cliffs' and 'colourful fishing boats' have landed it a spot as one of Britain's prettiest fishing villages.
The village was named in a top 10 list complied by BBC Countryfile Magazine and will feature in its October issue.
The magazine judged the villages on what they had to offer including restaurants, boats and hotels.
It called Beer an ‘ideal place’ to enjoy the Jurassic Coast’s natural beauty and rich geology, as well as somewhere to watch fisherman bring in their hauls.
Also making the list was Brancaster, Clovelly, Crail, Craster, Mousehole, Plocton, Porthgain, Porthgain, Portloe and West Mersea. Fergus Collins, Editor of BBC Countryfile Magazine, said: “We are drawn to beautiful places that also have a deep sense of purpose and history – and this selection of bustling seaside hubs and harbours are the jewels in our coastal crown.”
