A SIDMOUTH chocolate shop owner is celebrating a sweet success after one of her eye-catching Easter eggs won a national competition.
Jane Sherwood, who owns Emily’s Chocolates in New Street, said the accolade and customers’ responses to her creations “made all the hard work worthwhile”.
Supplier House of Sarunds staged the contest with customers up and down the country.
Jane filled a 22cm long chocolate shell with hand-made treats and decorated the creation – which weighed a kilo – with ribbons and flowers.
She bagged a 100 prize and said: “I’m sure the egg has long been eaten.”
