Nicole Sexton, a partner of Cotmaton Road based business Sweet Satisfaction Creative Cake Designs, scored first prize in the professional category of a gingerbread house competition at the Tuckers Arms pub in Dalwood on December 2.
Sidmouth resident Nicole, 26, and business partner Rachel Bowering are set to feature on Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage television programme at Christmas after the contest was caught on camera.
“It was absolutely amazing,” Nicole told the Herald. “We’d never entered a competition before and didn’t think we’d win. The house is a massive amount of everything edible!”
