On Monday, March 23, Devon County Councillor Stuart Hughes will present a cheque from his locality budget to Norma Pearce, chairman of Sidmouth Twinning Circle, to go towards the 25th anniversary celebrations planned for October.

He said: "I am delighted to support the stirling work that is carried out by Sidmouth Twinning Circle in putting such a wide variety of events and visits together for our visitors from our twin town in Switzerland.

"The 25th anniversary is a notable landmark in twinning, both here in Sidmouth and Le Locle, and many friendships have been forged during those 25 years.
