A teenage girl was rescued after her leg became trapped under a rock at Branscombe beach.
A fire engine from Sidmouth was sent to the beach at 6.30pm on Friday evening.
A spokesman from Sidmouth Fire Station said: “One pump from Sidmouth was mobilised to a release a trapped minor at Branscombe Beach. The crew arrived to find a 13 year old girl with her leg trapped under a rock.”
The crew used hydraulic spreaders, small tools and wedges to help free her from the rock. Oxygen therapy was also used.
