Planned drainage works in Temple Street have been delayed a week due to poor weather conditions.
Devon County Council announced today (Thursday) that South West Highways will carry out drainage works on Sunday, November 6, instead of Sunday, October 30, to prevent water gathering outside the Golden Gate Salon.
The road will remain open during the single day of works to minimise disruption.
Temporary traffic lights will be in play to manage traffic.
Councillor Stuart Hughes, DCC’s cabinet member for highways, said: “Once completed, it will reduce the risk of ponding and localised surface flooding and improve the quality of life of those that have been affected.”
