An Ottery youngster has become the first to complete a reading challenge since the town’s new library opened.
Thailita Carnell is the first finisher of the Book Track scheme which encourages children aged six and above to discuss 100 books with staff.
The 10-year-old received a gold badge and a certificate.
Thailita said: “I think Book Track is good for children because it encourages children to read at school and home. My favourite books are Harry Potter, by J. K. Rowling and the David Walliams books because one’s about magic and one’s about adventures.”
