THE ladies of Branscombe were delighted with this year's pie feast which sold masses of sweet and savoury pies.
The Women's Institution (WI) enjoyed the fruits of a long week labouring behind dozens of hot stoves after they reached their target funds at the bake sale last Sunday.
WI member Ann Haines, said: "We made a nice team and several holiday-makers were saying they will do one in their town - they have taken this away and will carry on the tradition."
The annual pie feast is now seven years old and all funds raised are to be used to organise speakers for WI meetings.
