Appeal for witnesses after man walked out of Santander branch with collection tin down stashed down his trousers
A brazen thief stole a charity donation box from a Sidmouth bank in broad daylight on Saturday (November 12).
Sergeant Andy Squires said a man entered the Fore Street Santander branch at noon and walked straight up to the tin, before putting it down the back of his trousers and getting away with the item and its contents.
Sgt Squires is appealing for anyone who witnessed the theft, or saw anything suspicious on the day to contact Sidmouth’s neighbourhood police team by dialling 101 quoting CR-080713-16.
