A GARDEN party in Tipton St John confounded miserable weather last Wednesday to raise �250, half of which will go to a valued Ottery service.
Proceeds from the Angela Court Care Home event will be split between its comforts fund and the Ottery and District Help Scheme.
Crowds enjoyed home made jams, cakes and a barbecue as well as cream teas, pony rides, bric-a-brac and folk dancing.
Manager Emma Seal said: "The day was wonderful, we were blessed to have the local community's support and I would like to say a big thank you to all those that took part in the event.
