MORE than 100 pooches descended on Tipton St John on Sunday as a dog show raised 409 for the village's Playing Field Association.
One hundred and five dogs from around East Devon turned out for the event, organised by an Exeter man who was compelled to take up the often flood-stricken field's cause after picnicking there.
David Blackmore said: "It went quite well, people raised a good amount of money and it was a nice turnout. I go there (Tipton playing field) often for a picnic, it should be saved for future people so they can sample the lovely field."
Dogs from Exmouth and Exeter took home the show's top prizes.
