GARDENERS from around Ottery gathered to show off their horticultural skills over the weekend at the gardening club’s annual autumn show.

Around 100 people attended to view the 120 exhibits at the Institute on Yonder Street which included flowers, vegetables and culinary art.

Club chairman Brian Nelson said the day had been a great success and the quality of the entries was excellent.

“This year we included classes for youngsters up to age 11, which involved putting together a flower out of scrap paper and card and making a miniature scarecrow.”

“I want to thank everyone who came and took part and we’re looking forward to next year’s event.”
