TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular Ottery trader who died last Tuesday.

Adrian Browne ran Roberts DIY with wife Rosalind.

In a notice placed in the shop window, Mrs Browne thanked townsfolk for their sympathy and kind words, adding: “The number of messages has been overwhelming.”

Outgoing chairman of Ottery Chamber of Commerce, Viv Abbott, passed traders’ “heartfelt condolences” to Mrs Browne at the organisation’s annual meeting on Monday. Business owners present all wished her well.
