Fire fighters were called out to a Sidmouth property after three adults and two babies got trapped in a lift.
The town crew arrived at 7.55pm yesterday (Wednesday) to find the elevator stuck between the ground and first floors.
The doors were prised open with small tools and the babies were taken out by firefighters.
The adults were then able to climb out with the help of the crew members.
