A SIDMOUTH armed robber, who described himself as a 'modern-day' Robin Hood, was today (Friday) sentenced to 13 years behind bars.
Stephen Jackley, 23, Manstone Avenue, appeared before a judge at Worcester Crown Court this morning for sentencing after he pleaded guilty to 18 offences earlier this week.
His crimes include robbing a Ladbrokes betting shop, a Lloyds TSB and attempting to rob another Lloyds TSB as well as Britannia Building Society, all of which occurred in Devon.
Jackley also committed a number of robberies in the Worcestershire area while he was a first year University of Worcester student.
