A man in his 20s has died following a tractor accident in Newton Poppleford this afternoon (Monday).
Police, paramedics and the fire service attended the incident in Pinn Road, between Northmostown and Otterton at around 12.50pm.
The driver of the tractor was trapped by the vehicle after it overturned and later died at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “The tractor had been towing a trailer when it overturned after leaving a field in the area.
“The driver of the tractor has been declared deceased at the scene.
“His next-of-kin have been informed.”
The spokesperson added the road would remain closed for some time.
