A WOMAN who was airlifted to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital on Friday is still in a critical condition. She was seriously injured when a black Honda motorbike was involved in a collision on the A30 at Fenny Bridges.

She was seriously injured when a black Honda motorbike was involved in a collision on the A30 at Fenny Bridges.

The accident caused chaos for motorists as the eastbound carriageway was closed for several hours while police investigated the cause of the accident, which took place on Friday, August 15, soon after 12.30pm.

The male rider of the bike was taken to the same hospital by land ambulance and the woman, who had been the pillion passenger, was later transferred to Derriford Hospital, in Plymouth.

The road re-opened at around 6pm the same day.
