Burst water main latest
TEMPLE Street in Sidmouth will re-open at 4pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 28) after a burst water main left the normally busy route shut for more than 24 hours.
A South West Water spokesperson told the Herald: “We would like to apologise to any customers who experienced a loss of water supply or low pressure in Sidmouth on Wednesday due to a burst water main. The main was repaired and supply was back to normal by midday on Wednesday.
“Properties in Peaslands Road have not been affected by a separate burst water main. We are flushing air out of the system following the burst in Temple Street.”
