Passengers of a Spain-bound Flybe flight have been awarded refunds and compensation after they were dramatically evacuated from the aircraft this morning.
More than 100 people were evacuated from the plane at Exeter Airport after haze clouded the cabin.
The haze reportedly came from a fault in the plane’s air conditioning.
A spokeswoman for Flybe said: “Passengers from Flybe flight BE4321 have now departed on a replacement aircraft and are expected to arrive in Alicante at 4pm local time.
“All passengers have been issued letters upon boarding in which they have been informed that they will be refunded the full cost of their flight in addition to EU261 compensation.
“The safety of its passengers and crew is the airline’s number one priority and Flybe apologises for any inconvenience experienced.”
