District council planners are appealing for feedback from people including landowners and developers on where 37 new gypsy and traveller sites should be located in East Devon.
The replies will be used by East Devon District Council (EDDC) to complete a development plan document for traveller accommodation in the region.
It has previously been suggested that some of the new pitches could be located around the new town of Cranbrook, although extra sites would still be needed elsewhere.
EDDC leader Councillor Paul Diviani said: “We would be extremely grateful for any input from the local communities in helping us develop the plans and policies that will guide the allocation of land for gypsies and travellers.”
Comments can be emailed to localplan@eastdevon.gov.uk with ‘gypsy and traveller DPD’ in the subject box, or posted to the planning policy section at EDDC’s Knowle offices.
