PC Steve Speariett is particularly concerned about a burglary which took place at Beer Primary School between March 27 and 29.

Entry was gained through the back door of a school shed and property was strewn around outside.

Bird boxes were pulled from trees and were smashed on the ground. The wendy house had also been smashed.

And in Branscombe police are investigating a theft and a burglary that both took place between March 19 and 20.

At Branscombe Farm a plant trailer which was attached to a red Nissan Cadi pick up truck was stolen. The trailer was removed from the vehicle and no damage had been caused. If you have information, ring the police quoting KN/09/179 for the burglary and KN/09/169 for the theft.

PC Steve Speariett added: "It would appear that the rural breaks are starting up. All residents need to be vigilant and report any suspicious vehicles or incidents.

"Extra care needs to be taken in rural car parks and drivers are reminded not to leave any valuables on display.
