Funds from the Country Fair held at Salcombe Regis church have now been distributed to local charities.

Cheques were handed out on October 5 to the Sid Valley Memory Café, Sidmouth Hospice at Home, Sidmouth Living With Cancer, Sidmouth Surf Live Saving Club, Sidmouth Guides and Sidmouth Scouts. They were presented by the Rev David Caporn at the Scout hut on behalf of the hard working committee of St Mary and St Peter’s church.

Event organiser Laura Griffiths said: “We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Covid delayed event such a success. The charities here helped so much with the sale of raffle tickets, and we are delighted to be able to present them with their cheques. Hopefully next year’s Country Fair will not only be back at its usual time (June 2), but will be an even greater success.”
