Food banks in Sidmouth and Ottery were among the charities to benefit from money raised through the John Lewis partnership Christmas campaign "Give a little love".
Waitrose and Partners Sidmouth donated £333 to six local charities who have helped feed the community during the Covid-19 pandemic. These were: Sidmouth Food Bank, Honiton Food Bank, Ottery St Mary Food Bank, Seaton Food Bank, Open Door Exmouth and Home-start Exeter, Mid and East Devon.
Additional local charities and causes were supported with donations of stock for volunteers and clients.
The company is also supporting two national charities - Home-start and Fareshare and customers have been encouraged to help out by buying gifts and donating via texting LOVE to 70630. The target is to raise £40k to support families in need.
