Charitable shoppers have raised more than £500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association as part of the Waitrose Community Matters scheme.
In February, the charity was chosen alongside Friends of the Samaritans and East Devon Special Needs Action Group to receive a share of £1,000.
The Friends of the Samaritans received £290 and the East Devon Special Needs Action Group, £200.
Alan Smith, pictured, of the East Devon Branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, said: “The £510 will go into the pot to help patients in need of all sorts of things like massage, transport, speech aids and iPads. Almost anything that they can’t get from the NHS.”
