A walking group in East Devon has raised £500 for the Devon Freewheelers through selling tea, coffee and homemade cakes at its events.
The ‘Walk This Way’ members held a skittles evening at the Royal British Legion Club in West Hill on Saturday where they handed a cheque to the charity, which delivers urgent medical supplies via motorbike in Devon.
Gill Ruddick, who had the idea of selling refreshments after the group’s walks to raise cash for local groups, presented the money to a grateful Darren Lee from the Freewheelers.
