A FUNDRAISING pensioner has issued a plea for volunteers to help him boost injured servicemen and women next Saturday.
Winslade Road resident Wally Cotgrave, pictured, hopes others will join him during an April 9 street collection in aid of Help For Heroes.
Wally, 71, last year made a song and a dance out of raising thousands of pounds for the cause - literally - when he and friend Celia Monck proved a smash-hit with a series of busking stints in Market Place.
He also placed more than 100 collection tins in shops around the region.
Wally now hopes next weekend’s fundraiser, between 10am and 4pm, will net even more cash for the charity.
Anyone interested in helping Wally can contact him on (01395) 578 010.
