Sidmouth Musical Comedy Society, which is presenting a new musical version of Peter Pan next month at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth, has had no luck in finding the right sort of rocking horse to use for the production, so is turning to Sidmouth Herald readers for help.
It is offering two free tickets for the performance of your choice and a thank you in the Peter Pan programme to the person who can lend them a suitable rocking horse.
Society administrator Jacqui Self said: "We are looking for some generous theatregoer who may be willing to lend us a rocking horse to feature on stage.
"Although it isn't vital to the plot of the show, it would just be the perfect addition to the children's bedroom.
"We have been looking everywhere for the right one but without any success."
The show, which promises to be lots of fun for all the family, brings a host of local children to the stage.
If you have a rocking horse you are happy for the society to use for the show, which runs from Tuesday, February 24 to Saturday, February 28, please contact Jacqui on (01392) 274699.
Performances begin at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are available from the theatre box office (01395) 514413.
The society is supporting The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children's charity.
