Two Sidmouth women have been ‘overwhelmed’ by the generosity of the town’s residents.
Charlotte Reid and Charlie Gwillim have thanked everyone who took part in a virtual ‘Wear a Hat Day’ to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Research.
In a joint statement, the two women, who both suffer with effects of the illness, said: “Thank you to everyone who donned a hat, took a photo and posted to our Facebook page and special thanks go to Johanna Morgan and all her JM DanceFit crews, young and old, Charlotte Norton and the Sidmouth Skate Squad, the Sidmouth Herald and everyone who donated.
“Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee (Wear a Hat Day committee members Liz Clode and Alexa Baker) enjoyed raising awareness (of the illness) in town on Saturday, although they were mistaken for a chicken at one point.”
Ella Robinson, Charlie’s best friend, continues her walks to the end of March and donations can be made www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ella-robinson93
Donations to Brain Tumour Research, via Charlotte Reid’s brain tumour warrior Angela Reid, can be made by visiting www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Angela-Reid11
