Members of the Sid Valley’s Welsh contingent have handed their £100 surplus over to Sidmouth Voluntary Services (SVS).

The charity runs a service of care and friendship in the community out of Twyford House, with a lunch club, transport and social club.

SVS chairman Phillip Deegan said: “At the end of each year, the Sidmouth Welsh Society generously donate their surplus funds to a local charity and we at SVS are thankful for being chosen this year.”

Now in its 29th year, the Sidmouth Welsh Society meets monthly at the Royal York and Faulkner Hotel and is reaching out to anyone with a connection to, or interest in, Wales.
