TOURISM and current social and economic issues affecting the Isles of Scilly, will be discussed by Giles Chichester, MEP for the South West and Gibraltar when he visits St Martin's and St Mary's today (Friday).
Mr Chichester, from West Hill, will have briefings by councillors and the chief executive, Phillip Hygate, during his programme of events, organised by the Council of the Isles.
He has been invited by headmaster Bruce Wilby to meet him at Five Island School and talk to students about his responsibilities as an MEP and the workings of European Parliament.
