Three sold-out performances of Dick Whittington in West Hill helped kick off 2013 to a great start said the village hall committee.
Sylvia Gehring said professional company Wonder Productions put on a traditional panto full of ‘music, comedy and slapstick’ last weekend, but with a little help from the village.
West Hill Primary School lent the staging for the shows but and provided the services of some year six pupils to help set it up.
Sylva also said Kate Fraser, fellow Village Hall committee member, helped organise, publicise and co-ordinate the production, helping to make it a sold-out success.
Mrs Gehring said they were so encouraged by Dick Whittington provisional booking has already been made for Jack and the Beanstalk at the same time next year.
