WEST HILL or Alfington children could be set for a play-area boost after town officials confirmed they will seek funding from of a �1million Government scheme.
On Monday, Ottery St Mary town council set up a working group to pursue around �50,000 made available as part of the Playbuilder project, which aims to provide 22 new "high quality" play-sites across for eight to 13 year-olds across Devon.
Councillors hope to provide one of Ottery's rural areas with a play-site and will meet shortly to discuss proposals.
