A phenomenal fundraiser, who netted £880 in just two hours, has shared the proceeds with a pair of worthy causes.
Win Manley presented cheques for £440 apiece to Sidmouth Town Band and Sidmouth Living with Cancer.
The latter’s chairman, Bill Lankester MBE, said: “Win never ceases to amaze us as to how she raises so much money each year – £880 is a tremendous effort for two hours at a coffee morning.”
Win started the events with her husband Richard in 2003 after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The first raised £514 for the Chestnut Appeal, which is specifically for prostate cancer, but others have boosted homelessness charity Shelterbox and various different causes each year.
