Police are appealing for information after reports an 18-year-old was approached by three men
A woman has been left shaken but unhurt after an alleged assault in Ottery St Mary.
Police are investigating reports that an 18-year-old was approached by three men in Yonder Street at around 5.15pm on Friday, July 22.
A force spokesman said the men attempted to speak to the woman who was left feeling uncomfortable due to the sexual nature of their comments.
One of the three then allegedly grabbed the victim by the shoulder as she headed directly to a nearby shop and phoned for help.
The men left the area soon after.
The victim was unhurt but left shaken by the experience.
Police would like to identify the three men involved, described as:
• Two fair-haired, white men in their early-20s wearing track suit bottoms and t-shirts.
• A man in his early-20s of Middle East appearance wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
Anyone with any information that could help police with their investigations is asked to call 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/050076/16.
